Vinyasa Flow

Most of our classes offered here at Sublime Yoga are considered Vinyasa Flow. In a Vinyasa Flow practice  assanas (postures) are linked together in a series of movements that are synchronized with the breath. Much emphasis is placed on the breath and the transition in and out of the assana. The routine practice of vinyasa yoga can increase muscle strength, endurance and flexibility, and reduce levels of stress.

Vinyasa yoga offers much diversity. The pace can vary and there is no one particular sequence that instructors must follow. In fact, the name vinyasa is a Sanskrit word that translates as “variations within parameters.” This flexibility allows the teacher to tailor the sequences to their own philosophy. So, if one class doesn’t work for you, try another, until you find one that you are comfortable with. We’ve named and categorized our classes to help you find the best fit!

Gentle Flow (beginner level)

Gentle Flow is open to all levels of practice and abilities and is especially great for beginners or those searching for the therapeutic benefits of yoga. This soothing gentle practice focuses on moving slowly into basic yoga poses while using the breath as a tool to remain present and mindful. The slow pace of this class allows you to enjoy the simple sweetness of each pose. Expect lots of stretching and lengthening with a heavy dose of meditation to wrap up your practice and leave you feeling great!

Daily Flow (intermediate level)

Moving with the breath brings smoothness to the practice, allows the body to build an internal warmth, and allows the practice to become a form of moving meditation. This is a slightly more energetic form of yoga and offers many modifications leaving it open to all levels. Like all of our classes, this practice will end in a heavy dose of relaxation so you will leave feeling amazing inside and out!

This is a great class to expand your knowledge of the asanas (yoga poses) and bring your yoga abilities to a whole new level!
